MM commemorate Sleep in the Park with record breaking £15000+ charity bonanza
Thirteen hardy souls from McVey & Murricane (MM) endured a cold and damp evening in Glasgow on 8 December supporting pioneering social entrepreneurs SocialBite.
But their cockles were truly warmed by the news that MM’s 2018 mighty charitable efforts for SocialBite have raised so far £15,275.39 . This is the highest of any legal firm in Scotland and third in the Corporate sector.
The MM charity goal has been operated under the umbrella slogan “Looking after those with homes and those without” making specific reference to MM’s heavy involvement with the housing sector (being, according to Register of Scotland statistics, one of the three largest conveyancing practices in Scotland). Senior Partner, Allan Radlow, pictured leading the group shot of those participating in Sleep in the Park (he’s the one rather foolishly not wearing a hat!) commented “As one of Scotland’s main providers of legal services to the housing sector, we felt that we had a duty to support those in a less fortunate position than many of those using our services.”
MM’s involvement has been come from the forged a relationship with SocialBite where MM make a donation for each completed transaction. Since 2017, MM have centred their charitable efforts in supporting homelessness which is an avoidable scourge and has no place in a wealthy country in 2018. It was fantastic effort by the MM colleagues who endured a cold night for the good of those less fortunate.
